EACS East Allen County Schools has the following full-time position available: Construction Trades Teacher The Construction Trades teacher will instruct high school juniors and seniors in a variety of construction activities at the East Allen Career Center. Students will focus on safety, blueprint reading, framing, finishing and general carpentry. In addition, students receive instruction in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. This is a dual credit program taught in collaboration with Vincennes University and The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma and at least 5000 hours (2.5 years) of construction experience. SKILLS: Ability to interact and relate well with high schools students, strong communication and teaching skills, ability to organize and lead construction related projects within the Career Center and community.
