Over the past year, I have received an outpouring of support and encouragement to seek the office for Mayor of New Haven. I have met with community and state leaders and after prayerful consideration and the support of my family and friends, I decided to accept this challenge when current Mayor Terry McDonald announced that he would not seek re-election in 2019.
