About
Southwest Allen County Schools is dedicated to a mission of preparing today’s learners for tomorrow’s opportunities.
Nationally recognized and locally known for its award-wining programs, high-quality staff, and strong parental and community support, Southwest Allen County Schools is home to more than 7,000 students in grades K-12. Our district includes six elementary schools (Aboite, Covington, Deer Ridge, Haverhill, Lafayette Meadows and Whispering Meadows), two middle schools (Summit and Woodside), and Homestead High School.
Our vision and our commitment to staff, students, and community is to provide an excellent 21st century education.
We believe parents are the first and essential teachers of their children. We believe that SACS is the hub of a diverse community that serves as: professional educators, providing consultation and partnership with SACS parents; more experienced co-learners, providing wisdom and guidance for our students; and an educational workplace of choice, providing support and opportunities for our employees.
We believe a culture of learning embraces change, flexibility, and innovation. We believe learners will experience the joy of learning and working in a safe and secure educational environment. We believe learning is neither bound by place nor time and must be appropriate and accessible to all learners.
Our graduates think critically and think creatively. They effectively communicate their ideas and effectively collaborate with others. They are responsible citizens and digitally literate. Our graduates are resilient problem solvers and compete globally.
